Notes:
VJA Speech Camp aims to prepare incoming freshmen for competition in the 25-26 season and to solidify our current Speech Team. It connect to D230 mission, vision, and pillars inasmuch as we want to form strong co-curricular connections between our feeder schools and VJA. Speech is an all-inclusive activity where students can speak their own truth by choosing competitive pieces which express their own voices. They also can write their own. We want more students involved in the activity and more students increasing their professional speaking abilities.
Students will prepare for the upcoming season in a four day, three hours per day camp. The proposed schedule is as follows:
9-9:10 - Check-in
9:10-9:20 - vocal warm up
9:30 - 10:00 - Introduce events/sample events
10-10:45 - Script search
10:45-11:15 - Group rehearsal
11:15-12 - Showcase
